A lifelong resident of the Lansing Area, she is preceded in death by her parents AllenDahlgren and Minnie Dahlgren (Loroff)., husband John Pierce and sister Linda Reed.
She is survived by her son Rodney Pierce and wife Angela of Poynette, WI, daughter Ann Pierce and husband Richard Baumgartner of Haslett, MI, grandchildren Amy Livermore, Rachel Flickinger and Henry Pierce, and great granddaughter Ava Livermore.
She was married for 35 years to the love of her life John Pierce from 1949 until his death in 1984. Despite John’s many health issues throughout their marriage, she devoted herself to him, cared for him, assisted him in all his business ventures and helped to raise their two children in a safe, supportive, and loving environment.
Elaine was kind and friendly to everyone and made friends wherever she went. She had an extremely generous nature and possessed a gentle soul full of warmth and compassion. She acquired much wisdom over the course of her life which she lovingly shared with her family and friends. She was creative by nature and pursued various artistic endeavors throughout her life. Ceramics, drawing, painting, woodworking sewing, and origami were among her many artistic passions.
She believed in giving back to the community and volunteered with numerous local organizations including the Girl Scouts and the Ingham County Library Branch in Delta Township.
She always gave immeasurable love and support to her family and will be profoundly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 10th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Delta Hillside Cemetery, 6415 Delta River Drive, Lansing, Michigan.
