Edward Michael Belles

Surviving are his loving wife Kathy, daughter Nicole Belles (Bill), son Eddie Belles (Callista), and grand baby to be; brother Don (Resa), sister-in-law Sue Salhaney (Pete), brother-in-law Chris Zbiciak (Carol) and brother-in-law Frank Zbiciak (Celeste) also loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ed was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania on February 22, 1950 and came to Michigan with his parents and siblings at the age of 14. He held the school record swimming breast stroke in the 200 yard medley relay at Eastern High School and was a graduate of Michigan State University, where he met and fell in love with his wife, Kathy. They were married for 45 years.

For over 32 years, Ed had a distinguished career in wealth management helping individuals and businesses manage their portfolio of investments and achieve their financial goals. He began his finance career at EF Hutton and served as Vice President, Financial Advisor, and Financial Planning Specialist at Morgan Stanley. He served as Branch Manager for Raymond James and a General Partner at Roney and Company. Ed owned a wholesale distribution company for 10 years prior to joining EF Hutton.

Ed held his Series 3, 7, 8, 24, 63, and 65 and insurance licenses. He was a fourth degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.

He was an amazing father, best friend and role model to his children. His positive mental attitude, persistence, and strength taught them to follow their dreams and gave them the courage to try and try again.

Most of all, Ed was a devoted, loving husband who married the love and light of his life, Kathy. He will be forever missed.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, with a Celebration of Life service at 7pm.
