Dorothy Jean Snider, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2016 in Harrison, MI. She was born October 17, 1930 in Flint to Otis and Helen (Warren) Cook. She loved to travel, fish, and bake, making countless notes in her recipe books. She and her husband, Donald Snider, were founding members of Okemos Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Snider, her sons, Rockey and Larry Snider, her granddaughter, Bonnie Jean Baker, her great-granddaughter, Lilly Jones-Norris, and her brother, Deloss Cook. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Linda (Roger) Beaune; her sons, Randy (Carol) and Michael (Lori) Snider; her 17 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren; her 3 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Douglas (Pat) Cook; and her sister, Lois McCormick. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:00am at the Okemos Church of the Nazarene, 1906 Hamilton Rd., Okemos with Rev. Curt Napier officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and on Tuesday, May 24 from 4pm to 8pm at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
