She had a passion for playing cards and was a social butterfly, always seeking out opportunities to gather with friends and loved ones. Donna's zest for life extended to her hobbies and interests. She loved playing bridge and never turned down a game. Despite her fear of flying, she was an avid traveler, exploring new places and embracing new experiences. Even as her eyesight diminished, Donna remained an avid reader and found joy in listening to books on tape. She had a special place in her heart for dogs, and especially her own dogs, Diva, Max, and Chauncey. Donna and Norman cherished their sailboat in Elk Rapids, Michigan, where they created lasting memories and fostered friendships.
Donna is survived by her loving sons, Craig (Mary) Thiel and Brian (Christine) Thiel, and by her devoted grandsons Luke, John, Graham, and Brian. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman, and her dearest sister, Jean Eller.
