He served in the Korean War, then worked for 40 years for the City of East Lansing Public Works Department.
Husband of Sharon Jean (née Clark) for 64 years. Father of Debbie (Mike Fenelon) Jenks, Susan (Dan Pline) Jenks and Donald George Jenks, Jr. Grandfather of Lindsey (Jordan) Hager, Travis Pline and Brityn Jenks. Great-grandfather of Monroe Jae Hager. Brother of Carolyn (Phil) Foster, Kathy Rinehart, Linda Tropf, Larry Jenks, Marilyn (Gary) Fish, Jerry Dan Jenks and Chris Jenks. Son of the late Ben and Millie Jenks. Brother of the late Bill Jenks and Butch Jenks. Also survived by special neighbors, Pat and Heidi Dalton and John and Cheryl Veresh; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, Sunday 2-6 p.m. Due to Covid, services will be held privately on Monday.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing.
