Donald George Hewson, age 96, of Haslett, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. He was born on February 15, 1926 in Lansing, MI to Archie and Anna Hewson.
Donald graduated from Eastern High School and went on to join the Navy, proudly serving in WWII. He married his beloved wife, Maxine Stofflet, in Charlotte, MI and the two of them were married for over 55 years before her passing. He joined the East Lansing Police Department and served as a police officer for 34 years.
Donald is survived by his children, Judy, Debbie, Joyce, and Jim; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and good friend, George. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; son, Gordon; and parents, Archie and Anna.
