I dient know the man personally but he holds my same name..Gerardus Kolb ...  he must have been a legend! Rest in heaven.. I'll catch you around one day . 

Dirk and  I traveled  together while in the Navy from California to Washington,DC then to Norfolk to the Med onto Veitnom.  Always enjoyed  traveling with Dirk.  He is going to be missed. We were on the USS Albany CG 10 and USS Independence CVA 62. He was a good man. God be with him.

My brother, Dick, was a loving and good man. He loved walking the woods ( including Walden Pond). Dick sent us wild flower seeds and every year his flowers bloom in our garden.  As children, Dick and I roamed the woods together looking for mushrooms and little animals. It’s my favorite memory.  He did the same with his children.  Good memories for us all.   Love to all,

Jacque, I'm so happy that I had the chance to meet and talk with Dirk on several occasions. I will remember his gentle side, and love of nature, flowers, and especially you. I hope you will find comfort in your daily memories of your life together.
