Born August 23, 1931 in Missouri to the late Theopolis and Mary McKeel, Darrel was raised in Tennessee. He attended Michigan State University and Central Bible College and married his beloved wife Mildred on April 7, 1956. They started family and resided in Michigan.
Darrel worked for Ford Motor Company for many years and was active in ministry throughout life. He was involved in 50 +ers group through Mount Hope Church, where he also served, as well as with Brighton Assemblies of God. He loved being with his family, and he and Mildred especially enjoyed family time at their cabin up north. A private pilot in his spare time, he enjoyed playing the guitar, traveling to see family, going to northern Michigan, and the Smokey Mountains.
Darrel always greeted you with a warm smile and hug, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife Mildred McKeel; sons: Mark (Cheryl) McKeel and Don (Kim) McKeel; grandchildren: Cydney, Caemon, Josh, and Nate; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Darrel will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Mt. Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, Michigan.
