Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Harry L. and Margaret G. Brodbeck; and sister, Sue McCloskey.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret L. Brodbeck (married June 8, 1972); sister, Nancy Lenfest;
children, Dan Brodbeck, III, LeAnne (Jerry) Rumler, Harry Brodbeck and Lorna (Terry) McHugh; step-children, Bill Armstrong, Jr. and Guy Armstrong; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Dan served in the United States Army 1955-57. He graduated from University of Michigan with a BA and MBA. He went on to earn his CPA certification and had a long, memorable career culminating as a partner at Plante Moran, PLLC.
Dan served on many local boards with distinction, including The American Cancer Society, The Greater Lansing Arts Council and Burcham Hills Retirement Center. He was recognized in the community as a leader and made many generous contributions of both time and resources to several charitable institutions. He was an active member of the Lansing art community. He remained involved on the Burcham Hills Resident Board, serving as President, until his death.
