Brenda’s journey began at a young age, demonstrating a work ethic that would define her life. She started her first job at the local library while still in high school. Over the years, she worked in various roles, including as a nursing assistant, housekeeper, and daycare provider. She approached each job with the same care and attention, always putting others’ needs before her own.
Brenda was many things—courageous, spirited, and fiercely loving. Above all, her pride and joy were her daughter, Tabitha, and her beloved grandchildren, who brought immeasurable light to her life. She treasured her family, and they in turn surrounded her with constant love and gratitude. Brenda also found great joy in her wonderful son-in-law, who she considered an integral part of her family, always grateful for his love and support.
While Brenda’s nurturing side was well-known, she also had a feisty spirit that could light up a room. Whether she was dancing to her favorite music or standing up for those she loved, Brenda lived life to its fullest.
A loving mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, strength, and vivacious spirit, will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Tabitha Jane Million and cherished son-in-law Scott Riley; grandchildren Lincoln James Riley and Emma Mae Riley; sister Lola Marie (Jerry) Seals; step-father of 25+ years Rick Bray; aunt Edna Faye Belcher; uncle Ronnie Edward Bray; niece Amy Million; nephews Doug, Tim, Chris and Michael Lasley; and several cousins and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Willie Million and Shirley Mae Heiser; sister Diane Million; uncles Elbert Bray, Earl Bray and Terry Bray; aunt Linda Bray.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Stoneleigh Residence for their wonderful and compassionate care during Brenda's final moments with a special thank you to Missy, Laine and Shawna.
