East Lansing (formerly Williamston)
March 14, 1928 – August 9, 2017
On August 9, 2017, our loving mother, Annie-Laurie Robinson was ushered into the presence of her Savior and Lord and once again reunited with her husband, Richard L Robinson at the age of 89.
Annie was born in Lansing, Michigan and spent most of her life residing in the community of Williamston, where she was a teacher in both the elementary and middle school. Annie will be remembered for her zest for life, her giving spirit, and her selfless commitment to making everyone around her feel special.
Annie’s favorite place to be was among her family and friends on the shores of Lake Charlevoix, a place she called her second home since the 1930’s. Annie enjoyed serving at Trinity Church, traveling to Florida and California, writing letters to missionaries, swimming, golfing, and telling stories of year’s gone past. Most importantly, she enjoyed being a Mom and Beppe (Dutch for grandmother).
Annie was preceded in her death by her parents (Andy and Marie DeVries) and her husband (Richard L Robinson). She is survived by her sister Mary (Bernie) Brisbois, her 3 children Laurie (Doug) Howe of Lansing, Gordon (Lois) Robinson of Williamston, and Barry (Kenda) Robinson of Perry. She also had 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Family will welcome friends and guests on Friday August 25 for a visitation from 11am – Noon, followed by a luncheon from Noon – 2pm at Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Rd, Lansing Mi. 48911.
Those desiring may make contributions in memory of Annie-Laurie to the Kingdom Advancement Grant, serving global missions. Please make checks made out to Trinity Church with Kingdom Advancement Grant in the memo line.
