

She lived for her family and she was her kid’s greatest cheerleader. She was a fabulous cook and made specialty cakes. She was often featured on Fox 2 Detroit’s cooking segments. Anastasia was a good Christian and was very proud of her Greek heritage. She had a very positive outlook on life and never had a negative thing to say. She was well known for her over-the-top personality and her giving spirit. She was a very selfless person and didn’t have a selfish bone in her body. She had an unconditional love for her grandchildren. She loved to kiss them and hear them say, “I love you Yiayia.” She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother. Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Costas Sotiropoulos; daughters, Grace Keros, Dr. Angela Badra (Joe), Connie Keros; son Chris Sotiropoulos (Jannine); grandchildren, Alexandra, Joey, Chuck, Gus, and one on the way; sister, Tammy Poletes; and nieces and nephews Angela Blust (Jeff), Dr. George Poletes (Lisette), Peter Poletes, Joann Karras (George), and Dr. Evan Theoharis (Maggie). A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI with Father Mark Sietsema officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.
