Dear Ann,
I'm sorry to learn of Al passing.
He was a wonderful man both as a co-worker and friend.
Even though it has been over 20 years since working with AL at Ingham County DSS/DHS, I can still picture him at his work desk...usually with a smile on his face for a friendly voice.
I cherish our time so long ago when we (co-workers) all played Euchre together, rotating from co-players home to home. Great memories of both Al's booming voice and Brian's when they would "set" someone!
The times we all worked to set up "entertainment" for our co-workers with office Christmas parties & crazy skits that were so fun!
Even though our lives were all crazy busy with jobs & kids, we certainly had fun & laughter!!

I’m so sorry to hear about Al.  I worked with him at DHS and enjoyed our many conversations.  He shared so many good things about his family.  He loved you all so much.  I loved his golf Christmas cards every year and the family Christmas letter with it.  He was a good man and gave a lot when he worked for the state of Michigan. So sorry for your loss Ann and family. Al and I shared a lot of time with each other throughout the years at DHS. I was especially fond of his eggplant parmesan and garlic toast. He had a hard time with my last name, Wojnaroski, until I bumped him with my hip and said "Hey Al, ya "wanna roski"? That was his standard greeting any time we ran into each other, along with that big belly laugh of his.  Al was a great man, very stern and by the book at times but fair and very helpful. What great memories of "Big Al" on the golf course.  Played many years in the LIttle Golf League at Eldorado and then, after I retired would see him at Branson Bay where I worked in the pro shop and then, most recently, at Eagle View GC.  Always a big smile on his face and always was happy to see us (Sandy)  Knowing all he was going through and how he remained so positive was truly inspiring.  A fantastically great human being who will be missed.

Dear Ann, Tim, Jessie, Sam and families,
Al was a wonderful man with a heart of gold and a smile to match.  He always gave so much to his family and our community, an obvious continuation of the great contributions he made to our country while he served in the marines.

Al had a wonderful family!
We are very thankful his oldest son married our daughter Jamie. A very responsible  caring, husband  , and father…..  just like Al!
