Susan Ellen (Beauchemin) Perron, 78, of Marlborough, loving wife of 45 years of the late Roger J. Perron, Sr., peacefully passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 with her caring family by her side at the Marlborough Health Care Center. Born in Hartford on October 10, 1945, a daughter of the late Emile L. and Helen A. Beauchemin, she had resided in the East Hartford area for most of her life. Susan was a graduate of Hartford High School, class of 1964. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years by Connecticut Bank & Trust Company, and later enjoyed working at the Bushnell Memorial Auditorium in Hartford for several years. She was an avid reader and an individual who loved the beach and going on cruises and traveling with her late husband.
Susan is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle LeBlanc and her husband Philip of Marlborough; two sons, Roger J. Perron, Jr. of Casper, Wyoming, and Jay Perron of Alpine, Wyoming; two adored grandchildren, Brianna T. Grant of Wethersfield, William F. Grant, IV and his wife Ariana of Cromwell. She also leaves a brother, Michael Beauchemin and his wife Patricia of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Karen Beauchemin of Cape Cod, MA, Linda Beauchemin of Manchester; her former son-in-law, William F. “Billy” Grant, III of West Hartford; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Besides her beloved husband and parents, Susan was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Beauchemin of Cape Cod, MA, and Richard Beauchemin of Manchester; and a sister, Ann Marie Calhoun of Palmetto, FL.
Funeral service will be Tuesday (December 12, 2023) at 1 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery, Hubbard Street, Glastonbury. Susan’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday (December 12, 2023) from 12 pm – 1 pm at the funeral home chapel.
