Susan was born December 13, 1950 in Hartford, CT. to her late parents Richard Lane and Althea (Heimer) Lane previously of East Hartford, CT. before settling in Manchester, CT. Susan enjoyed being social and talking to everyone, especially the people she loved and she loved making gifts for people so no one would forget her. She spent most of her time crocheting, plastic canvasing, sewing, holiday baking, watching her favorite T.V. shows about cold cases, criminal cases, and soap operas. She was also the biggest Nascar fan and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends. She will be most remembered for being a loving Mother, Mimi and Sister, Santa cookies, holiday traditions, crochet blankets and crochet names.
Susan is survived and will be dearly missed by her two sons; Robert Lane and his wife Victoria of Portland, OR. David Washington and his wife Virginia of Detona, FL., two daughters; Melanie Kosky and her husband Scott of East Granby, CT. Melissa O’Donnell and her longtime boyfriend Lee Stacey of Colorado Springs, CO., one brother; Jonathan Lane and his late wife Tina of Vernon, CT., one sister Deborah Breton and her late husband Normand of East Windsor, CT., nine grandchildren; Amber, Alexander, Zachary, Cynthia, Kaitlyn, Audrey, Codey, Corrina & Kristen, four great grandchildren and one expected in May, many nieces & nephews, a dear friend Maribeth Galster and her late husband Eric and her two cats; Pepper & Oliver.
Susan was predeceased by her sisters; Anne Phelps, Nancy Main, Ellen Pollard, Cynthia Macri and her brother; Richard Lane III.
