Ruth C. Brown

Ruth C. Brown, 90, of Manchester, more recently of Vernon, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Manchester Manor. Born August 3, 1927 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Helen (Fuller) Curran, and the beloved wife of the late Randall N. Brown. An organized homemaker, Ruth took great pride in keeping a clean and tidy home. She was a caring mother who was able to stay home to raise her sons. Ruth also was able to keep a sharp eye on them by serving as a crossing guard near their school.

After moving to Cape Cod, she enjoyed working for the Park Service at the National Seashore Bookstore in the Visitors Center, and issuing beach passes and permits in town. Ruth was an avid cruiser, having visited Bermuda, Nova Scotia, Barbados and other Caribbean islands.

Ruth is survived by 2 sons Randall B. Brown of Manchester and Thomas C. Brown of Jacksonville, FL., 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
