Roger Steven Kolasinski, 77, of Chantilly, VA, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Born and raised in West Hartford, Roger was a loving and devoted husband to Theresa Gail (Labbé) Kolasinski. He was born in Hartford on October 9, 1945 and was one of two sons to the late Gerald Sr. and Margaret (Zavatkay) Kolasinski. Roger graduated from Conard High School, Class of 1963. He then went on to attend Michigan State University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, DNA/RNA Research and Development graduating in 1968. He also pledged and was a member of SAE Fraternity. Roger was the founder and CEO of Kol-Bio Medical Supply Co. 1971-2006. Roger was also on the Natural Science Dean’s Board of Advisors at MSU from 1990-2010. He then went on to pursue other business ventures. He had a love of life which allowed him to live out most of his dreams. He loved family and friends, boating and was always the life of the party. Most of all Roger adored and loved his wife Gail. They traveled the world and always enjoyed life side by side. He is predeceased by his brother Gerald Kolasinski, Jr. and nephews Patrick Keegan and Jerry Daigle. He is survived by sister-in-laws Judith Kolasinski, Marilyn Keegan, Betty Daigle, Jackie Labbé, and Geraldine Pericolosi. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews whom he treated like his own children: Bryan, James, Cheryl and Lisa Kolasinski, Danny, Sue and Erin, Brian, Denise and Peggy, Theresa, Mark, Matthew and Amy, as well as many great nieces and great nephews. Roger also leaves two very close friends who were like brothers, Chris Oswell and Robert Christy, as well as many other cherished friends. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Mark’s the Evangelist Church, 467 South Quaker Lane, West Hartford. Internment will follow the mass in the family plot in Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford. Attendees are asked to meet directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society due to Roger’s personal passion for Cancer Research.
