Robert C. ""Bobby"" DiNardo, 73, of East Hartford, passed away on Sunday (February 4, 2007) at Hartford Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Hartford on February 12, 1933 a son of Jennie DiNardo of East Hartford, and was brought up and raised by his grandparents, the late Vincenzo and Mary DiNardo. He attended local elementary schools and graduated from East Hartford High School, Class of 1951. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. After the war he moved to Chicago, IL., where he spent most of his adult life working as a successful machinist for over 40 years in the Tool & Die industry. He enjoyed studying and playing the stock market and was a faithful and dedicated fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Besides his mother, Jennie of East Hartford, Bobby is survived by two daughters, Dawn Hibben in Alaska, Robin DiNardo of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Audra, Allura; his aunt, Mary DiNardo of Glastonbury; his special caring cousins, Carmel Willis of Glastonbury, Sally DiNardo of East Hartford, Christopher DiNardo of East Hartford; Daniel DiNardo of Tampa, FL; and dear neighbors. Funeral service will be Friday (February 9) with a celebration of Bobby's life at 11:30 a.m. at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will be at Veteran's Memorial Field-Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours.
