Ralph “Ted” Elliott, 88, of East Hartford passed away June 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Ralph was the youngest of 7 children, born June 19, 1929 to the late Clarence and A. Marie Elliott, in Litchfield, Connecticut.
Ralph served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed by The Hartford Electric Company, which is now known as Eversource. He worked there for many years before retiring in 1990. He was an active and a long term member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Where over the years he served on many of its committees and could always be seen mowing the Church lawn.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Audrey Jensen Elliott, his son Mark Elliott and his wife Maria, his daughter Cindi Manliguis and her partner Jim Celani, his daughter Lisa and her husband Robert Davidson Jr. Ralph also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Aaron Elliott, Kristen Polakow, Daniel Manliguis, Alyssa Maile Manliguis. 4 great grandchildren, Olivia and Taylor Polakow, Kaya Manliguis and Penelope Traut. Ralph is also survived by many other loving friends and family members.
Friends and family are welcome to visit Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 2-5pm at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, Connecticut 06108. Services will be held at 10:00am Monday June 18, 2018 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church located 110 Ellington Rd. East Hartford, CT 06108, burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
