Paulette A Cyr

Paulette Ann Cyr, 78 years old, of Manchester, CT passed away on February 24, 2023 at UConn John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, CT. Paulette was born on September 20, 1944 to Georgianna Parizo and Albert Gamelin in Burlington, VT. She married her soulmate, Chanel Cyr, on November 1, 1965 at 21 years old. She had 3 daughters, AnnMarie, Michelle, and Pauline.

Paulette worked a few jobs in her many years, but her true passion was as a homemaker, mother & grandmother. Paulette truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; hosting family gatherings, cooking and baking, shopping, making floral arrangements, watching her favorite crime shows, and crossword puzzles to name a few. She was a loving woman with a heart of gold. She was the rock of her family. You were lucky to know her, or have a glass of her famous iced tea.

Paulette was predeceased by her husband, Chanel Cyr, and brothers Thomas Gamelin and Clement Gamelin. She is survived by her mother Georgianna Wyszatycki of New Britain, CT, sister, Monica Oulette of Vernon, CT, daughters AnnMarie St. Peter of Manchester, CT, Michelle Szeluga & husband Ray of East Hartford, CT, and Pauline Cyr & husband Josh Brouillard of Lebanon, CT. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Ashley Kneeland & husband Josh, Austin Kinney, and Emily Szeluga and 3 great grandchildren, Weston, Jemma and Violette.

A brief gathering prior to funeral home service for Paulette will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108. A funeral home service will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Silver Lane Cemetery, 1280 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT.
