Paula G. Ellis

Paula Jean (Givanni) Ellis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at her home in Glastonbury. Paula was born in Torrington on September 15, 1940, to the late Jean and Francis Givanni. Paula was a graduate of Saint Johnsbury Academy, class of 1958. She started her professional career as a paralegal and went on to manage the same private law firm for the next 30 years in downtown Hartford. Paula was an avid reader and watched the Game Show Network religiously. She passed on her love of music, meatballs, and elephants to all of us.

She is predeceased by her sister, Marcia (Givanni) Strid, and two beloved sons, Michael and David Ellis. She is survived by her son, Daniel Ellis, and his wife Kristine, her son, Jay Ellis, and his wife Marissa; ten cherished grandchildren: Zachary, Katie, Colin, Sam, Dylan, Olivia, Jayme, Madelyn, Molly, and Brady. She also leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. All that knew her, knew that she had a fierce loyalty to her family and any friend of her 4 boys. It was well known that her house was open to anyone and everyone who needed a place to sleep or a hot meal. A life well lived, you will be missed by all who knew you.
