Paul Louis Chicoine

Paul Louis Chicoine, 73, of Willington and formerly of East Windsor, peacefully passed away with his caring son by his side on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. Born in New Bedford, MA on August 17, 1950, a son of the late Normand and Gracia (Pelletier) Chicoine, he had been a resident of East Windsor for over 20 years prior to moving to Willington over 26 years ago. Paul was a graduate of A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford, class of 1970. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he served in Germany. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #6123 in Windsor Locks and an honorary member at the former VFW Post #2046 in Manchester. Prior to his retirement, Paul was employed for 30 years by Fed Ex Ground in Willington where he was a Maintenance Manager.

Paul is survived by his two sons, Todd A. Chicoine and his wife Krista of Ellington, and Brian P. Chicoine of Agawam, MA. He also leaves his significant other, Sheila (Hastings) Chicoine of Willington with whom he made his home; two brothers, Robert Chicoine of Palm Bay, FL, Dennis Chicoine and his wife Judy of Glastonbury; a brother-in-law, Dennis Hoddinott of Columbia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by a brother, Andre Chicoine of Portland, ME, and a sister, Julie Hoddinott of Columbia.

Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Friday (November 10th) from 11 am to 1 pm. A celebration of Paul’s life will immediately follow at 1 pm at the funeral home chapel. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
