Mary Betters

Mary Betters, 96, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4 at Manchester Manor. Mary was born on June 1, 1926 in Protola Peligna, Italy and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo D’Aloisio and Elisa (D’Andrea) D’Aloisio. Besides her husband Joseph of 39 years, Mary was predeceased by her brothers; Vincent, Nicolo and Elio. Mary was a great lover of animals, especially cats and was a member of the East Hartford Senior Center.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Manchester Manor and the Hospice Care Team of Visiting Nurses and Health Services of Vernon for their care and compassion shown to Mary. Also a special thank you to Attorney Frank Leone for his guidance to the family for decades.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 9th at 10:00am at North American Martyrs Parish (St. Mary’s) 15 Maplewood Ave. East Hartford. Everyone is asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery East Hartford. Please make donations in Mary’s name to the Protector of Animals, 144 Main St. East Hartford, CT 06118.
