Louise Ann (Bassano) Schultz, 78, of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Jacob F. Schultz, passed away on Tuesday, (March 13, 2007) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on December 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Flaminio and Pamfilia (Lattanzio) Bassano, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1959. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1946. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years by the state of Connecticut, retiring as an Administrative Service Rep. Mrs. Schultz was a long-time communicant of St. Rose Church, East Hartford and was an individual who enjoyed listening to Italian music and talking to others on the telephone. However, her greatest joy in life was being a proud grandmother to her beloved grandsons. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Matthew Bassano of Hartford, and two sisters, Cynthia Gregory of New Britain and Mary Uzanus of Manchester. Mrs. Schultz is survived by her caring and devoted three daughters, Anita L. Corbeil and her husband, Allan, of Newtown, Nancy M. Bliven and her husband, David, of East Hartford with whom she made her home, Donna M. Boyington and her husband, Doug, of Manchester; two sisters, Rose Carriker of Orange, CA, Loretta Coderre and her husband, Frank, of Bloomfield; a brother, John Bassano and his wife, Helen, of West Hartford; seven special loving grandsons, Jeffrey Corbeil of Columbia, MD, Michael Corbeil of Newtown, David Bliven, Jr. of East Hartford, Douglas Boyington, Jr., Denace Boyington, Daniel Boyington, and Dana Boyington all of Manchester; and many dear nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Saturday, (March 17) at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church, 33 Church Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
