Judith L. Meyer

Judith L. Meyer, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Meyer. She was born on July 24, 1929 in Queens, NY, to the late Vincent and Maria (Bioando) Mecca.

Judith was a loving and devoted mother who cherished time spent with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A dedicated Catholic, Judith was a loyal member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in South Windsor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two children, Maryann Meyer and John V. Meyer both of South Windsor; her three grandchildren, Jennifer Potvin, Matthew Meyer & Christopher Comarotti; her two great grandchildren, Emily and Tyler Potvin her; her brothers, Savero Mecca & Frank Mecca and her sister Molly Battista. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Elizabeth Meyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 10:30AM, at St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108 burial will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown CT 06457. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning (3/14), from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
