Joseph Royce Pelletier, 83, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully at Marlborough Healthcare Center on April 15, 2018. Royce was born on December 29, 1934, in Fort Kent, Maine, a son of the late Randolph and Ella (Mossie) Pelletier. Joseph Royce was the beloved husband of the late Eva A. (Bailey) Pelletier.
He was a longtime employee of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Joseph Royce was a devoted Catholic and faithful communicant of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, in Hartford for many years.
Joseph Royce will be dearly missed by his sister; Marie R. Flanagan of Colchester, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his sister Janice Ferris.
Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 6pm-8pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT 06108. Services begin at the funeral home on Friday, April 20, at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 140 Farmington Avenue, Hartford CT 06105.
