John T. DeLucco, Sr., 83, of Manchester, beloved husband of Barbara J. (Thomas) DeLucco and the late Marie A. (Gialluca) DeLucco, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday (August 14, 2014). He married his beloved Marie in 1950 and they spent 52 wonderful years together before her passing in 2003. He was blessed to find love again and married his second wonderful wife, Barbara, in 2007. He owned the “Wig-Wam” Restaurant in Hartford for four years, as well as two pizza shops. He resided in Manchester since 1959, where he was a faithful communicant of St. Bridget’s Church for more than 50 years, serving as a lector, usher, collector and church council member. He also coached little league for many years and next to his family, his greatest love was the New York Yankees. John was immensely proud of his Italian heritage. He spent many, many happy summers with his family in Westerly, RI and for the last 13 years in Myrtle Beach, SC. He also loved to sing, but nothing meant more to him than being with his family. In addition to his loving wife Barbara, John will be dearly missed by his five devoted children, Doreen G. Midford and her husband Mark of Manchester, Angela M.
