Jean Paul Dube, 72, longtime resident of East Hartford, passed away on May 7, 2017. He was born on August 7, 1944, in St. Agatha, Maine, a son of the late Alfred and Estelle (LeClaire) Dube. He was the beloved widower of Kathleen (Chasse) Dube.
Jean Paul was a loyal employee of Stanadyne for over 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Isaac Jogues and Blessed Sacrament Churches. Jean Paul was an avid fisherman and member of the Police & Fireman’s Association Pond where he could often be found catching fish. He caught 3 there the morning of his passing.
Jean Paul will be dearly missed by his sons: Bruce Dube and his wife Dawn of Windsor, James Dube and his wife Sandy of Rocky Hill, 5 grandchildren: Jacob, Rachel, Christopher, Jessica, and Brittany, siblings: Adeline Griffin, Ann Marie Dube, Odile Earl, Stella Hayden, Alfred Dube Jr., many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Jean Paul is predeceased by his son Greg Dube, siblings Patrick Dube, Pauline Page, Matilda Sirois, Freda Dionne, Leo Dube, Guy Dube, Philip Dube.
Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Benjamin J. Callahan/Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford CT 06108. Funeral Services will begin at the funeral home on Friday May 12, at 9:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1 Community St., East Hartford.
