James F Davis Jr.

James F. Davis, Jr., 64 of South Windsor passed away March 10th, 2023 with his beloved Betty by his side. James fought a courageous battle with his illness for ten years. James was born August 17th, 1958 in Hartford, CT to James F. Davis, Sr. and the late Priscille Parent Davis. James resided in South Windsor, CT for most of his life. He was a very loving partner, uncle, brother and son. James will always be remembered for his very caring and giving ways and his “Labor Day Picnics”.

James leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved partner of 29 years, Elizabeth Styran, his cats Cat and Bandit, his father James F. Davis, Sr. of South Windsor, his sister Ann Buehner and her husband George of Jacksonville, FL, his brother Frederick W. Davis (Bill) of Bolton, CT and his sister Marie Shuart and her husband Cliff of Canton, GA, Stanley Styran and his wife Helen of Broad Brook, CT, Irene Coffey of Windsor, CT, and John Styran of Broad Brook, CT.

He will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as the funniest and most loving uncle around: Laura Patton and her husband Allen and their two children Corbin and Brooke, Adam Buehner, Nathan Shuart, Lindsay Shuart, Stephanie Brunton and her husband Isaac, their children Kayla, Liam and Alexis; Timothy J. Coffey, Jessica Coffey, Kathleen Coffey, Alexander Styran, Andrew Styran and Abbie Styran.

He also leaves to mourn his passing his loving Aunts and Uncles: Noella Sirois of Van Buren, ME, Phillip Rossignol of Van Buren, ME, Paul and Delores Parent of Augusta, ME, Lorraine and James Verboys of Shenorock, NY, Roger and Rolande Parent of South Bend, IN, Dorothy Parent of Hartford, CT, Priscilla Parent of Saco, ME, Maria and Keith Ryder of Sarasota, Fl and Charles Davis of Overland Park, KS and his many cousins, also his dear friends David Kowaleski, Nancy Zajac and the Dubiel Family.

Betty would like to thank the VNA of Vernon for their caring and comfort during this very difficult time and to CNA’s Delissa Lumpkins and Touletta Richards for the care and kindness they have given him over the last few months.

Calling hours for James will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108. A funeral home service will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108. A committal service will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT.
