Gail Zoppa

Gail (Gabron) Zoppa, 79, wife of Ronald Zoppa, married for 60 years, passed away peacefully at home on February 11th, 2025. Gail was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on July 11th, 1945, daughter of the late Sophie and Mitchell Gabron.

Gail was a lifelong resident of East Hartford, where she graduated from East Hartford High School in 1963. She dedicated many years of service as a secretary for the East Hartford Board of Education before retiring. In her retirement, she found great joy spending time at the beach, a place she loved and cherished. She enjoyed spending time on the beach in Black Point with her family and friends, reading books. She loved the Yankees and her doberman’s, especially Scarlet.

In addition to her husband, Ronald, Gail will be dearly missed by her daughter Jill Z. Parsons and her husband John of Coventry, her son Nickolas Zoppa of East Hartford, her daughter Robin Armstrong and her husband Gary of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, brother Mitchell Gabron and his daughter Jodi Gabron. Her grandchildren, Kaila Parsons, Brendan Parsons, Mallory Armstrong, and Patrick Armstrong.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, February 26th from 10:30am - 11:30am with a Service to follow at 11:30am at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT, 06108.
