Frederick A. Bushey Jr.

Frederick Alfred Bushey Jr., 71, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Frederick was born on May 15, 1953 in Hartford and was the son of the late Frederick Sr. and Frances (Farynasz) Bushey and husband to Maria Elizabeth Bushey. Prior to his retirement, Fred was the director of facilities of operations at Wethersfield Public Schools and previously Hartford Public Schools. In his free time, Fred enjoyed playing golf, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, planting and had a huge passion for cars. After retirement, Fred moved to Florida in 2019 and became a proud and active member of the Southwest Florida Corvette Club. Fred also adored his dog and best buddy, Jake. Above all, Frederick was a loving friend, husband, father, and grandfather.

Frederick is survived by his two sons, Frederick Alfred Bushey III and his wife Jennifer of Newington, and Erik Ermanno Bushey and his wife Caragh of Tolland. He is also survived by his four adored grandchildren, Sofia, Estella, Livia, and Michael. Fred was also the proud grandfather to his son Erik’s beloved dogs Bagel, Lox and the late and great, Booger. He also leave many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
