Eleanor H. Mayr

Eleanor (Hollman) Mayr, 87, of West Hartford, died Nov. 13, 2012 at Saint Mary Home in West Hartford. She was the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Matthews) Hollman. Eleanor lived most of her life in the Hartford area and was a graduate of Mt. Saint Joseph Academy and St. Joseph College. Eleanor was a communicant of St. Pius Church in Middletown, CT. She worked as an Account Representative for CIGNA and after her retirement lived in Middletown.

Eleanor is survived by her brother Robert and his wife Kathleen of Middletown, her sister in law Eileen Hollman of West Hartford, her nieces Ellen and her husband Michael Goodreau, Maureen and her husband John O'Boyle of Wethersfield, nephews Robert Hollman and his wife Karen of Middletown, Thomas, Michael and James Hollman of Middletown. She is also survived by her grand nephews Thomas James Hollman and his wife Lisa of Higganum, Joseph P. O'Boyle and his wife Marisa, and Brendan O'Boyle and his wife Casey of Boston, Matthew Hollman and David Hollman, and Brian Warmingham, and grand nieces Jennifer Hollman of Cromwell, Nicole and Mari Fuini of Colchester and Guilford. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Kurt Mayr and her brother John Hollman.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at the St. Mary Home, especially Maggie and Elaine for their kindness and love. It was most appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary Home, 2021 Albany Ave. West Hartford, CT 06117. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Pius Church, 310 Westfield St. Middletown, CT, followed by burial at Mt. St. Benedict's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
