Edna Irene Collins

Edna was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She had an incredible work ethic that she instilled in her children. She was proud to work for the FBI following her high school graduation. She worked for Aetna for twenty years till her retirement all the while continuing to raise and care for her family. She was a dedicated member of South Congregational Church, East Hartford and a member of their choir and the Kings Daughters.

She will be dearly missed by her children, William Collins and his wife Teresa of Barkhamsted, Rich Collins and his wife Cheri of Newtown, Susan Prasser and her husband Rusty of Manchester; her grandchildren Michael and his wife Lindsey, Nicholas, Robin, Jeffrey, Kyle, Nicole, Holly; her beloved grand-dogs Roxy and Lacy. She was predeceased by her five siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00AM, at South Congregation Church, 1301 Forbes Street, East Hartford, CT 06118. Donations in Edna’s memory may be made to South Congregational Church, East Hartford memorial fund.
