Donna Broege

Donna Broege, 82, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Donna was born on March 12, 1943 to the late Paul and Mary (Riley) Hagen and had been a resident of Manchester most of her life. She graduated from Bulkeley High School, Hartford class of 1961. Prior to retirement, Donna spent her career working for Traveler’s Insurance. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music and watching classic films and movies. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend.

Donna is survived by her two children Roy Broege and his wife Jill of Florida and Robin Broege of Florida. One granddaughter Shaylie of Florida. Sister Julie Valenti of East Hartford whom she made her home with. And two nephews Michael and Chris Valenti. Donna is predeceased by a brother-in-law Jack Valenti and the father of her children Roy Broege.

A funeral service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 1 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill. A calling hour will be held prior to the service at the funeral home chapel from 12:30 pm – 1 pm.
