Dennis Joseph Wilkos

Dennis Joseph Wilkos, 45, of East Hartford, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Born in Hartford on May 15, 1972, a son of Susan J. (Grimm) Wilkos and the late Gary D. Wilkos, he lived most of his life in East Hartford. Dennis was a landscaper and thoroughly enjoyed his time outside, especially sitting on the banks of a lake or pond, feeding the ducks. He had a soft spot in his heart for any animal that crossed his path. Dennis was an avid Boston Red Sox and New York Giants fan, but most of all, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his son Cody and being around his family. Dennis will be sadly missed by his son and mom. He also leaves behind his step-father David Case of East Hartford; his brothers, Gary Wilkos, Jr. of Manchester, Shane Wilkos and his wife Kim of Ellington and Justin Wilkos of Bangor, ME and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 16, at 11 a.m. at the New Covenant United Methodist Church, 16 Church Street, East Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation, 282 Washington Street, Hartford, CT 06106.
