Dante “Dee” Malcom Sprouse, 25, of New Britain, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Born on September 27, 1998, Dee was the son of Douglas James Sprouse and Lisa Walters. Dee was raised in East Hartford and graduated from East Hartford High School, Class of 2017 where he was a star football player. He had many dreams and aspirations ahead of him. Dee was a current student at Lincoln Institute for HVAC and was an entrepreneur in fashion. Dee was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Boston Red Sox which he would travel to support with his father. In his free time, Dee enjoyed working out and weight lifting. He had a big heart and enjoyed being humorous with those around him. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends who meant the world to him. He was a great role model for all to look up to.
Along with his parents, Dee is survived by his girlfriend Gabriela Figueroa, brother Tony Caye, Uncle Reuben J. Sprouse and his wife Aurea Alcantara, Uncle Harry James Sprouse Jr. and his wife Flor, Aunt Sandra Sprouse, Aunt Gladys, Aunt Erica Heron, Aunt Deborah Walford, Aunt Erica Walters maternal grandparents Kenneth and Sonya Walters, Godmother Alice Bermudez, Great-Grandmother Avis Bartley and a multitude of cousins; Julianna, Luisa, Noah, Kayla, Madison, Veronica, Mckayla, Destiny, William, Jovany, Jazalyn, Juan, Joseph, Jazzminelee, Jadalee, Angelina, Shemeika Davis, Shanell Davis-Bryant, Shauntae Davis, Winston Davis and more. He also leaves behind a beloved friend Alex Nguyen and Nas, three beloved dogs Leo, Rio and Nala, along with more aunts, uncles, and dear friends. Dee is predeceased by a sister Kiana Walters and his paternal grandparents Harry James Sprouse Sr. his wife Leyda M. Sprouse and Lorraine Sprouse.
Dee’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 5 – 8 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street East Hartford. A funeral service to honor Dee’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10 am at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery.
