It is with deep sadness that I write this note. My beautiful Cyndi, devoted wife, mother, Mima, sister, aunt and friend has gone to be with the Lord. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives and she has touched so many people with her kindness and selflessness. She grew up in Hebron via Georgia and California. She graduated from RHAM High School in 1983 and Briarwood College in 1986. She went on to a career in cosmetology and fragrances with Givenchy and Este Lauder where she utilized her vibrant personality to become very successful. Cyndi and I met at the Great American Café in Glastonbury on a special night and I truly fell for her the first time our eyes met. The only thing more beautiful than her looks was her personality. My family accepted her and she fit in immediately. Losing her Mom and Dad early in life she accepted mine as her own and cared for them the rest of their lives. I soon understood what love was really about through her love for her sister Karen and brother-in-law Steve and all her nieces and nephews. We started a family of three where she took on her next role of mommy. She embraced the role and what a mom she became. We found our house together although she was the one to make it a home. She was part of a wonderful group of Moms in our neighborhood that all watched out for each other’s children. She was a cheerleader for all the kid’s activities. However, Cyndi’s greatest role in life and most cherished was being Mima. She loved those grand babies more than life and showed them every day. Our lives are going to void of her daily humor and love. However, she is the Matriarch of our families’ legacy. We will not go a day without passing on what we have learned from your example, kindness, forgiveness, and selflessness. Thank you to all who have supported her sister Karen and I and our families. Friends, neighbors, hockey and baseball families, we thank you all for your kindness. We had always made it a point to surround ourselves with loving caring individuals. In that I know we have succeeded together.
A private memorial service celebrating Cyndi’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
