Billy Manning

William “Billy” H. Manning, 71, of East Hartford, loving husband of 27 years of Lisa M. (Grandi) Manning, passed on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Cherry Point, NC on July 5, 1953, a son of the late Harleth H. and Barbara M. (Deveau) Manning, he had resided in the East Hartford/Manchester area for most of his life. Billy attended Howell Cheney Technical High School in Manchester where he learned his building trade. Billy was a people person who enjoyed entertaining and being around family and friends, being a jokester and prankster, but always with a caring heart. Everyone always had a good laugh and a good time with Billy, who also liked traveling, especially to their vacation home in Florida.

Billy is survived by a son, William “Billy” Manning and his wife Wendy of East Hartford; three sisters, Carolyn Benevedis and her husband Russell of Manchester, Donna Manning and her significant other Richard Weintraub of Andover, Dawn Manning and her significant other Al Harris of Gates, NC; his father-in-law, Frank G. Grandi of East Hampton; his mother-in-law, Patricia (Fahey) Nyack and her husband Theodore of Bluffton, SC; his friendly pet dog/best friend Tucker; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, Billy was predeceased by a brother, David Manning of Manchester; two sisters, Kathi Tine of Manchester, Barbara Manning of Andover; and a brother-in-law, Steven Grandi of East Hampton.
