Benjamin Castro

Benjamin was born February 7, 1975 in Hartford Hospital and was the son of Bonifacio Castro and Evelyn (Benitez) Castro.

He enjoyed Deejay'ing various types of music, sports, computer programming and fixing them.

He was a kind and loving young man, counseling many friends when they needed support.

He will be remembered for his good nature, heart and loving smile.

Besides his parents, he leaves his daughter Mellenia Castro, a stepdaughter Julliana Sykes and brother David Castro, his Grandparents: Bonifacio Castro Sr., Juli Castro, many aunts and uncles: Sara, Luz and Naida and Julio and George, Julio, Jimmy and George, many cousins and many dear friends, including Jose Ortiz, Richard Green, Jazz, Willie, Robert Silva, Robert Bell, Jason Bell, Melissa Bell, Chris Adam, Deejay JP, Nelson, Deejay Cowboy, Erik, Jamar, Deejay Koky, Vernon, Mari Almodovar, Brenda Moreno,

Shany. He was employed by UPS for many years.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 5-8pm at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Family and friends are invited to meet Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10am in Wesley Memorial Church, 110 Ellington Rd, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery.
