Anna M. Bezzini (Annie) ,77, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, September 3, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. Annie was born on August 17, 1935 in Hartford and lived most of her life in East Hartford. She was pre-deceased by her mom and dad, Peter and Lina Schuierer and her dear husband, John Bezzini, Jr.
She leaves her devoted son John Bezzini III, her beloved granddaughter, Erin, many sister-in-laws whom she considered sisters-including Louise Bezzini, who provided excellent care for her, and Alice Mischler, many special lifelong friends including Sandra Guzzo and Mariann Lynch and several of her son's friends whom she considered sons, Brad Ragaglia, Michael Mazzarella, Billy Maura, and Christopher Blake and many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Annie. She also leaves many loving cousins like Lorriane Guegel and her family and Trudi Black who loved their cousin Annie so much. She leaves many cousins in Maryland and Kentucky who she was always pleased to talk with and reminisce abut the good old days.
A special mention goes to her APRN, Nanette Alexander for the wonderful care she provided over the years as well as the many Dr's who treated her. A special note of gratitude goes to the nursing staff at the St. Francis hospice center who took wonderful care of Annie in her final days.
She also expresses her gratitude to Sayeed and Sabana Shaikh, and Donna Britschgi who were very good friends.
Annie was a very good mom and grandmother who would always be so generous to her family, making sure that they would want for nothing. When other family members were sick, she was always the first one on the phone to see if there was anything she could do or to pay them a visit. She was a woman of strong faith who when she could no longer travel to church was sure to watch services on TV.
