Alice J. Warren

Alice J. Warren, 75, of East Hartford, beloved wife of 42 years to the late Louis N. Warren passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 18, 2011 at Hartford Hospital. She was born March 8, 1936 in Hartford, daughter of Francis McLaughlin and Evelyn H. (Leifert) McLaughlin. She was a longtime resident of East Hartford where she raised her two sons. She enjoyed creating needle point crafts, gardening and bowling.

She is survived by her mother Evelyn McLaughlin: her two sons Jim Warren and his wife Terri and Michael Warren and his wife Christine both of East Hartford: granddaughter Angell Ambrose and great grandchildren Matthew and Anthony: three sisters Anna McLean and Margaret Pelletier both of East Hartford and Carol Lewis of Charlotte, NC: and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited Monday Aug. 22, at 9 am to the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford for a period of visitation prior to the 11 am funeral service. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Alice’s memory may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
