June S Martin

Martin, June S., passed away on October 16, 2012 surrounded by her family. June was born in Buffalo on September 22, 1925; her parents were Joseph and Minerva (nee Winkelman) Wiesner. June devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. June and her loving husband Paul, recently celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary. June was an elementary teacher at St. Cecilia’s Parochial school for a number of years and helped on the Martin dairy farm until 1988. She was a member of St. John Neumann Parish in Sheldon, and was a volunteer in numerous organizations acting as chairman for the American Cancer Society and as an Election Supervisor. She also supported her husband’s organizations by giving many hours to the Lions club and the Sheldon Fire Company. She is also survived by a son, Paul Terry (Brenda) Martin, a daughter, Jean (Edward) Hembree .She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Wood Funeral Home, 784 Main Street, East Aurora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20, at 11:00 AM at the St. John Neumann Parish at St. Cecilia Site, 991 Centerline Rd., Sheldon, N.Y. 14145.
