I knew that I was in the presence of great kindness as he welcomed me and bought me a coffee at the Wehrle Restaurant. You are blessed to have had such a wonderful Mother and Father.

A sad day for Snyder to lose the great spirit of Mr. McGuire, my Babe Ruth baseball coach and ever supportive basketball dad. He was a true friend to all the Currans and will be missed.

Mom (Terri Florek) and I knew Mr McGuire long ago  when he coached my three brothers, and more recently fron CTK . We are sorry for your loss and send you our prayers that God will guide and comfort you during this difficult time.

I had the distinct honor of coaching basketball with Mike McGuire for 25 years at his beloved Christ the King School. His teams were always disciplined , fundamentally sound, and respected both their opponents and the game. His constant reminders to "make your foul shots, box-out, and don't give up the baseline" still echo in the gym rafters. Who can forget his five man weave or vaunted 3-2 zone defense. 
He was a father figure to some, and a role model to others. It is a fitting tribute to his legacy that many who he coached in turn became coaches.
Mr.McGuire was a pillar of the community and a reassuring presence to everyone he knew. Somehow, when he flashed his big Irish smile, and greeted you with a firm handshake, you felt all was well with the world.
Over the years he helped the Gould family in countless ways. We will always be indebted to his generous nature.
Currently my wife  Karen and I are traveling in Europe and regretfully will be unable to attend services. We wish to express our  heartfelt condolences to the McGuire family, and let them know we feel blessed that they shared their Dad and their sister Kelly with us.
