Charles W. Platzer

Charles W. Platzer, of Williamsville, NY entered into rest on January 22, 2024 at age 100. Loving companion of 30 years to Karen Starr; beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Kientz) Platzer; devoted father of Nancy (Gerald, DDS) Graser, Jean (William) Delamere and Joanne (late Kurt) van Zyl; cherished grandfather of John Platzer, Suzanne (James) Wittig, Jennifer (Edward) Girzone, Joanna Kane, Geoffrey Graser, John Graser and Kurt (Erin) van Zyl; adored great-grandfather of 14 and great-great-grandfather of 1; dear brother of the late Margaret Pfohl; uncle of Sandra (late David) Krzywicki, the late Randy McCormick and the late Colleen McCormick. Mr. Platzer was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII. He was a professor of Business Law and Accounting at Erie Community College North Campus, and was a member of Friends of Harmony Barbershop Chorus for over 40 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. John Lutheran Church, 6540 Main St., Williamsville, NY 14221 on Friday (January 26, 2024) at 10:30am. Flowers gratefully declined.
