Dear Olga and family, I was a classmate of Charlies' at Cardinal O'Hara. He was a really good friend of mine and my "group" (Frankie, Susie, Rick, etc.) through those formative years . I remember that he was liked by everyone, seriously, everyone! We re-connected at a reunion many years ago and I remember thinking we would have remained really great friends if I were not in So. CA. I am sadden at your loss but I KNOW you have tons of great, and very funny, memories to keep you connected.

Like many, I first met Charlie at a Stanislaus meeting almost 25 years ago. I had "NO IDEA" from that first day.... how much my life would change! Charlie had an amazing way of making you feel comfortable around him. If you were fortunate enough to connect with him, you were instantly accepted into the circle. . When that happened, your life changed in a way that you could never imagine. His Warmth, His Love, His Faith, His Generosity, His Smile and Hell Yeah.... "His Humor, consumed you in a way no other could. All of us who knew him realize how blessed we are that God gave us a chance to spend time with him. 

His Unconditional Love for Olga is something we all can learn from!
The Dedication and Love they both share is the description of commitment we all should live by. So many amazing memories with this man, who meant more to me than I can explain. The words Brother & Friend do not truly do him justice, he was so much more than that to All of Us. There is a huge hole in my heart but I'm lucky one..... because Charlie was a part of my life! 


Charlie was one in a million.  If he was your friend or just someone you were lucky to know, you could always count on him.  My sincere sympathy Olga - he loved you so much.  The angels are lucky to have him join their choir.  I am shocked and saddened by his passing.

CHARLIE!! with an exclamation...because we always yelled out  each other's name when we saw each other. To say Charlie will be missed by Debbie, Michael and myself is an understatement . He was not only a friend but a brother and uncle to our family. No day was a sad day around you. As my weekly golf and annual Hacker Outing partner since 1994...I hope you are cracking "under 50 for 9" every time and enjoying your "jack and coke". Save some "tees" for me. .....We will never forget you.

Charlie brightened my morning every time we met for breakfast at Mardees. We tried to solve all the sports issues especially the Sabres and the Bills. We always had our political updates from the previous evening's Bret Baier Special Report.

I already miss our daily chats.  You have been one of my closest friends and a relative to our family.  A family event was never complete without you.  I remember the day you drove two hours the day after Christmas to take me out for breakfast for my birthday.  No notice at all.  Just you beeping the horn in front of my house at 7 am.  I would give anything for another breakfast from you.  RIP Friend.  Thank you for everything!  

There are no words to describe how special a person Charlie was. A great colleague to my Papa and Dad, that became a family friend and was like family to us.  “Uncle” Charlie could make you laugh like no other and gave some great words of wisdom about the food industry. We will all miss you! Sending love to Olga during this hard time and all of those who loved Charlie. Rest In Peace! 

Charlie you were our best friend, our family member. Tony loved you so much as a father and so did our girls. You would walk into Southern Tier Provisions you were part of our family as our broker but beyond. I will miss your smile, your laughter, your jokes and your love for life and your Olga. All the times as the food shows, dinners, casino (he loved his slot machines) he would tell me how he won big. He would tell us about the café he would have breakfast at every morning he has his favorite waitress and they were family too him also. He loved to have his picture take with strangers and with his friends. I am going to miss you so much, how you would love to come up and give me a hug, make me smell your new cologne (lol).  Send cards and funny one, make me laugh (that's Charlie). Dress so dapper and always made sure everyone was good no matter where we were. Rest in peace and love you Charlie!!

Thank you for treating me like I was the son you never had. Thank you for treating Charelle like the daughter you never had and thank you for treating Mia like your own grandchild. Your love and bright light  will NEVER be forgotten!

Saturday night mass will never be the same without our "Mayor" giving out hugs to the parishioners every Saturday night at 4 PM mass.  Our Usher's Team will never be the same without you. You were a GREAT friend, and you will TRULY be missed!!!

Charlie you will be missed by every single person that knew you.  Our friendship began 26 years ago at my first Stanislaus meeting. You always had by back through good times and bad, and over the years became a trusted friend. I will miss talking to you on my drives to Youngstown and discussing the business, your "winnings" and of course politics. Even after you retired to spend more time with Olga, you still wanted to be in the "loop" on everything happening in food service. Life will not be the same without you, and I hope to see you again one day and share a laugh. I pray that God will give Olga strength and comfort in the coming days, weeks, months and years. I want to be able to talk about you and smile, like you always did.  May God take you in his arms and may we all keep you in our hearts forever.  Goodbye my Friend.

So hard to express how empty Gwyn and I feel knowing that Charlie is no longer walking with us.  However,  we know that we will see the ones we love again when we pass through the veil and return to our heavenly home.  Our deepest condolences to you.

I first met Charlie in the winter, during the early 1990’s,  as a R&D representative for Stanislaus Foods, a CA tomato processor, where he was our local broker. He picked me up in the morning, at my hotel, and drove me to a neighborhood Topps grocery store. He told me to stay in the car and he would be right back. I watched him go into the store, then come out a few minutes later. He started gathering shopping carts in the parking lot and taking them back to the store. After fifteen minutes he came back to the car. I asked him if we sell tomatoes to that store? He said, “Not yet, but they’re talking about starting up an in-store pizzeria soon and I’m just getting them to recognize my face. He said they need help getting their carts inside, especially in the snow; so I’m here most nights to help them out and getting notice from the day and night Managers. He said It’s all about establishing relationships! That was always a great lesson, and Charlie was the best teacher.  He was a great person to learn from; and a great representative for Northwestern NewYork; also introducing me to original hot chicken wings, fried Bologna and Beef on Weck sandwiches. I always loved coming to Buffalo and visiting my good friend Charlie.
