Col. Alan C. West, of East Amherst, entered into rest on July 13, 2022 at age 76. Beloved husband of Kathleen "Kaye" (nee Dill) West; loving son of the late Charles and Helen (nee Kennedy) West; dear brother of the late Patricia Firth; cherished uncle of David (Wendy) Gullett, Robin (William) Gatarz, Brenda (William) Smith, Kristopher Eastman and Melissa Polzin-Eastman; adored great-uncle of 7 and great-great-uncle of 4.
Alan retired as a regional manager with Niagara Mohawk and was a retired Colonel in the US Army.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service with military honors at WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd., Corfu, NY 14036 on Friday (August 12, 2022) at 10am. Please assemble at Clarence Town Park at 9am for a procession to the cemetery.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a memorial service at Clarence Presbyterian Church, 9675 Main St., Clarence, NY 14031 on Saturday (August 13, 2022) at 10am.
