I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie on one occasion. During that encounter, he demonstrated remarkable kindness and provided me with an exceptional opportunity to work for a well-managed and esteemed company. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and the staff, whom he led with great skill, dedication and most importantly compassion. May the memories of Charlie live on forever.

Dear Charlie, I know you are reading this from a heavenly place. Thank You for granting me the opportunity to have shared so many good times together over the years at our industry events from Las Vegas to Connecticut. I always looked forward to sharing time with you because you were one of the nicest and most giving persons, I have ever met in my life's journey so far. God Bless You and say hello to Him for me.

My condolences to the Fritts family.  As his other colleagues have already expressed, Charlie was such a nice person to work with and I am grateful that I got to know him over the past 25 years.  He was one of the first people to step up when we started a self-storage association in MA, and he was still just as dedicated and generous with his time until the day he passed. So sorry for your loss, Charlie and I were in school from kindergarten on. Our fathers were very involved in the Kiwanis club. His dad always played Santa Claus every year. Always a good friend in school. May he rest in peace.

I was so sad to hear of Charlie's passing.  I worked with him many years ago at Sovran Self Storage and always had a great respect for him.  I still have a picture frame he gave me when my daughter was born.  He was truly a wonderful person.   My sympathies to all of you - he will be missed.

I am deeply saddened by the Charlie's unexpected passing. Charlie was one of the most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. From the first time we met until the last time we spoke, he was always so pleasant and I am proud to call him my friend. 

     The first time we met was at a Self Storage show in Las Vegas about 20 years ago, he walked up to me with an entourage of people and said "All your competitors are promising me everything under the sun, what are you promising?" I looked up (because he was so much taller than me) and simply answered "I can only promise 2 things sir, 1, every day I will work hard to help make your business successful, and 2, I will cash every check you send to my office" He smiled and said, "honesty, how refreshing" and we have worked together in some regard ever since. 

     I will be praying for his wife and family not to mention everyone who had the good fortune of being in his daily life. Charlie was truly an uplifting influence in my life and the world was a better place with him in it, I will miss you Charlie.  My only comfort is knowing I will see you again one day in heaven and I know that because heaven was made for people like you.

I am heartbroken to hear of Charlie's passing.  Charlie was a friend and prominent figure of the Northeast Self Storage Association.  He gave his time and energy selflessly and without hesitation to support the self storage industry in the Northeast.  It was an honor to serve alongside Charlie for the past 14 years.  We are all better professionals for working with Charlie and his kind, calm demeanor. He will be sorely missed as a resource and dear friend.  Jessica Lamoureux
