Raeford Nelson Jackson

Mr. Raeford Nelson Jackson, age 74, of Dunn died Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Mr. Jackson was born in Sampson County NC, on December 29, 1942 the son of the late Raeford Jr. and Rosie Clida Tew Jackson and is also preceded in death by his sisters: Eris Butler, Edith Duboise and Mary Linda McLeod, and his brothers: Bill Jackson, Rudell Jackson and Rodney Jackson. Nelson was a carpenter and operated Nelson’s Flag Car Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerome Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Lee’s Chapel Williford Cemetery. He is survived by: His wife: Sally Jackson of the home His daughters: Kim Matthews and Chris of Dunn and Fay McDonald and Paul of Dunn.
