Norman "Woody" Ray Woodward

Woody was born on March 31, 1929 in Perry, New York the son of the late Harry Leslie Woodward and Letha Lawton Woodward. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lee Woodward and his second wife, Lillian Woodward.

He was a fully retired U.S. Army Veteran with over 22 years of service, he worked for the US Postal Service, Civil Service at Fort Bragg and T & L Auto Parts as a machinist.

Woody led a very active life, he owned a dirt track race car he raced through the years. He enjoyed Nascar, water skiing at Lake Tillery and doing things with his family such as going out to eat. He could be found every Wednesday at Kinlaws eating.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Casey Welker officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bluff Cemetery with Military Honors.

He is survived by: Sons: Jack Woodward & (wife) Donna of Wade, NC; Kenneth Woodward of Wade, NC; Kevin Woodward & (wife) Pam of Wade, NC; Jon Woodward & (wife) Anna of Wade, NC.

Daughters: Connie Draughon & (husband) Ronald of Dunn, NC & Katherine Barbera & (husband) Norman of Virginia.

A Brother: Marion Woodward of Bliss, NY

10 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren

The family will receive friends Saturday October 26, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn. One hour prior to the Service.
