Linda Gay Parker, age 70 of Coats departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2020 at her home. She was born on May 9, 1949 in Plymouth, North Carolina to the late Robert L. Mohn and the late Betty Jane Matthews Mohn. She was also preceded in death by her son: Christopher Scott Ebert and granddaughter: Ashley Dawn Williams. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a big sports enthusiast and a diehard fan of Wake Forest Basketball and NASCAR. Linda loved to travel to the beach or the mountains, basically anywhere the wheels were rolling. She loved people and never met a stranger. It didn’t matter race or rich or poor, she loved everyone.
Linda leaves behind to honor her legacy, her daughter: Allyson Lee and husband Furman C. of Erwin; grandsons: Matthew Riffle and wife Holly of West Virginia and Robert Ebert; great grandchildren: Kayden Williams, Logan Williams, Mackenzie Williams, Ashton Williams and Kyren Ebert; twin sister: Carol Hainer and husband Bruce of Atlanta, Georgia; sister: Christine Carmouche and husband Christopher of Lorton, Virginia; dear friend and ex-husban: Samuel Parker of Linden.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2020 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at the home of her daughter, Allyson Lee, 302 East E Street, Erwin, NC 28339. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
